Display Order
As a long time RTM user, I was very pleased to find the IFTM Vista gadget. It is definitely a quicker process in many circumstances than the full blown RTM.
My use case scenario: I have many lists & smart lists in RTM that I manage on a regular basis. From these lists I cull the tasks that I want to be working on and I filter them onto one smart list. Once on this list, the primary importance for sorting is priority, not due date. This list is the 'working' list that I want to have displayed in IFTM.
It would be much more useful for me to have the option of sorting all the tasks by priority without regard to due date - so a date driven priority 1 is next to a non-date driven priority 1. As it is currently configured, these are always split into different locations. I understand why the choice was made to group by date and then by priority, but it doesn't work too well in this situation.
Any chance of adding this option?
Thanks.
Brian

Re: Display Order
In fact, you want a simple list of the tasks ordered by priority, right?
Questions:
- this means that due dates wouldn't show up in the list at all, is that ok for you?
- what would be the limiting method of the tasks (you probably wouldn't like to see all the tasks you have), is the current day limiting still ok?

Re: Display Order
The due dates couldn't be shown as a group header. It may be possible to incorporate them in another manner. Being able to view the dates by clicking on the task (as it currently is done) is acceptable for my use.
I would want to show all the tasks on my selected smart list. All of my filtering happens through the smart list via tags in RTM. I use IFTM as a quicker interface for my 'working' or 'active' tasks, not for the more holistic management of tasks.
Thanks for your response.

Re: Display Order
You could try IFTMNoGroupBy from here http://cid-9fcd0c96616e15b1.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Public?uc=1 whether it is what you want.
FYI grouping can not be set in this version, it is forced to be switched off.

Re: Display Order
Okay, I'll add a new setting for it in next version - which I don't promise very soon
