How do I turn off Event Alerts Empty How do I turn off Event Alerts

I use Google Calendar Agenda as a desktop calendar not as a reminder service - my phone does that for me. How can I turn off the alerts so I don't have to click through every event that comes up please!

Setting alertMinutesBeforeDue advanced setting to 0 should do it (see the doc)

How do I turn off Event Alerts Empty Event Blink - with no Pop-Up Acknowledgement?

Post  sndrdg Sat Dec 18, 2010 8:08 pm

Related Question - but...

I like the alert sounding and the event blinking 15 minutes prior - but I don't want the pop-up acknowledgment window.
I have tried a number if .ini setting combinations with no luck. Any way to achieve the blinking without the pop up?
(actually I can't make it blink no matter what settings I use - could it somehow be ignoring this parameter?)

Here is my ini file:
blinkOnAlert=1
undockedWidth=300
undockedHeight=225
colorMarkWidth=8
autoMailPreview=0
alertMinutesBeforeDue=15
displayInCalendarTimezones=0
headerButtons.quickAdd=1
headerButtons.modeChange=1
stickyCalendar=1

Thanks and Regards,

Doug

Good (I think) - you used the word "currently". That leaves me some hope - that you will bring back some of the pure "simplicity" of the original gadget.
Please bring back the subtle - non interactive notifications as an option.

Regards,

Doug

@sndrdg +1

That sure would be a great feature if everyone could select how they want to be notified about the event. Smile
