I'm disappointed that in the new version clicking on the mail symbol doesn't take you to your inbox. Also, I believe you should fix an error where a task alert gets covered up by a new Mail alert.

Hmmm... it takes me to my inbox. Note, that you can click only on the number denoting the mail count, not anywhere on the mail symbol.

You are right with the other.
