multiple day events

i would like to request an option be added that allowed events that cover several days be restricted to one entry in the agenda. such as, an event that last for 5 days now shows up 5 times on the agenda list. It would be cool to have the option of just having that show up once, with the date range listed instead. so for 5 days, it says "event name - today - jan 23" or something like that. this way, one multi-day event doesnt hijack the list.
