Highlight events in the calendar

is it possible in the calendar view to highlight the days that contain one or more events?
The Windows Live Calendar Gadget does it:

Question: what does windows live calendar do when you go with the pager and it doesn't have the events cached?

I am not sure if I understand your question. I don't use the Windows Live Calendar but your gadget.
As I do not have many events in my google calendar I would like too see in the calendar view of your gadget on which days there are any events.

I mean the gadget currently doesn't query all your events from Google Calendar, only for the next X days (X is actually a setting), therefore, if you browse for example a month forward in the date panel, the gadget won't be able to highlight the days as it doesn't have the information which days you have events (as I said, currently).

But the gadget doesn't even highlight the events within X days in the calendar. They appear of course in the event list under the calendar but there are no highlighted calendar numbers.

Of course, I was just thinking what would happen if you browse to an other date where the events are not cached.
