Not getting email notifications after installing gadget!

I had this installed for a couple of years where both the gadget would work as expected and I would still get email notifications from google sent to gmail for my calendar entries. But now, since I have reinstalled the gadget, I am no longer getting the email notifications. Is there some setting I am missing, or is there not a way to fix this?

Have you configured the gadget to check gmail? If so, please turn on trace mode and send the log to ilab at windowslive.com

Oops sorry, I misunderstood the situation - I meant you don't get notifications for your emails

Well, if the events are not created by the gadget, then the gadget has nothing to do with event email notifications. If you get email notifications for the events which are created on Google Calendar UI and not in the gadget, but there are no notifications for the events created in the gadget, then it might be a gadget problem. However, I have just checked and it is working fine for me.

Thanks for responding. I don't know if you've looked at the log file I sent you yesterday, but it sounds like it may not matter. Just to clarify the problem, I'm not getting ANY email notifications for google calendar events at all, and I haven't created any events through the gadget. I just thought maybe the gadget displays the event and somehow erases the email or tells google not to send it, but it's sounding like this is a google problem, not a gadget problem. The events shows up on the UI of the gadget, but no email ever comes. I like to have the email as well in case I'm not at the computer with the gadget installed. Let me know if you think of anything I am missing. Thanks again.

You are perfectly right, the gadget just displays data. So it sounds like a Google problem, if it is a problem at all. I suggest checking the notification settings of your calendars, because as you probably know, the notification behavior of Google Calendar is configurable.

Yeah, I've been down that road already. I have seen a few forums that mention people suddenly losing email notifications and then have them suddenly reappear for no reason. I guess I should email google and see if there's a fix. Thanks. Oh, and great gadget by the way!
