Every day view
First of all, I would like to say what a wonderful gadget you have made!
I do like it, however, I would like it even more if it showed events a bit like Google Calendar's way (i.e. show all days of the week, regardless if you have an event on that day or not). Also, I believe that a calendar is somewhat beneficial to the process, since in your gadget you allow people to add events by Quick Add. Why not have it so that they can, for example, have the date clicked on the calendar (for example 25th December), then when adding, they can type "Christmas Day with family 3pm DateSelected" where "DateSelected" is some variable.
Just some thoughts.

Re: Every day view
One thing is showing events like Google Calendar, which I don't really like to do. This gadget is not intended to replace the Google UI or to be actually a calendar, but to show the upcoming events in a compact and clear way.
An other thing is to help the quick-add process with a calendar as a date selector. I like the idea so I will consider to implement it somehow.
Thanks!

I have read through many of the post and understand that this is not a full calendar but would agree with the post from kregg. I would love a full calendar view to see the current date and time, and be able to click on a certain day and add an event.
There seems to be no full calendar that does sync with Google so putting this new feature would be great.
Or if you could possibly making a new sidebar gadget with these features?

calendar view
hi!
first, I must point out this is one of the most professional gadgets for vista/7 i encountered (btw i'm using it on 7, works flawlessly).
i actually wanted to start my own topic about it, but i really couldn't agree more with kregg and Julian,
i know it isn't meant to be an actual calendar/googlecal replacement, but i really really like the idea of having a calendar view somehow implemented to this gadget. (much like the google calendar gadget for google desktop, only nicer . and i'm saying yours would be nicer than google's cause i really appreciate the solid design of this gadget. really well done. adding the cal view, would make it absolutely perfect.
anyhow, thanks for a wonderful gadget.

Well, it doesn't have to be complicated. Why not simply add an option to show the "missing dates" (the dates without events) to the list? That way the user can see every date coming up, and gets a "feel" for how many days until a spesific event. Then, to add events, the user can simply click on any date (for example on the text "Fri Nov 20") to add an event to that day.
By the way, you've made a superb calendar application!

I completely agree that having a calendar/monthly view, where you can click on days and add details, would be very helpful.
