Feature Quick Add does not work
I try to use feature Quick Add, but this function does not work well. When I put any sample string program or Google add event today only, another words, it does not accept commands in the command string. Please help me to solve this problem.

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
Could you please give me an example that does not work?
I have just tried to quick add "something horrible happens on sunday 21:00" and it worked fine.
(I use the latest version, v1.1.8, of course)

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
Thanks for your answer. I have tried to quick add strings "Lunch with Grandma on Friday 12 pm" from samples and event was added on tomorrow because first time 12:00 will be tomorrow. When I have tried to add string without time—"Lunch with Grandma on Friday", event was added today, but not at Friday. I tried to change position of the day and time, but result was the same.
I use v. 1.1.8 and Windows 7, but problem was reveled on v. 1.1.7.

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
I have just tried "Lunch with Grandma on Friday 12 pm" which also works for me
Would you please try what happens if you quick-add this on the original Google Calendar UI? That also has a quick-add functionality. FYI, in quick-add, the string is passed to the Google Calendar API "as is", so I suspect something might be wrong with the Google server which you are connected to.

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
Yes, you are right. When I added the same string into Google Calendar UI, problem was remaining. Therefore your supposition about Google server have been confirmed. But how I can solve this problem, can you take any advice?

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
Well, you could report this to Google if they provide some possibility to report bugs at all...
But one more idea: you don't quick add with quotation marks, do you? If you quick add "Lunch with Grandma on Friday 12 pm" WITH the quotation marks, the event will be created on today with the actual time.
Example that works:

Thanks for advice. I shall write letter to Google.
Yes I add string without quotation marks. I have experimented with quotes, but couldn't get result, witch I suppose.

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
I have this exact same problem. Possibly intresting detail: I have this problem on both Vista SP2 and Win7 RC.

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
The OS is not interesting, as we have agreed that it is a bug at Google's side.
See Vladimir's answer: "When I added the same string into Google Calendar UI, problem was remaining."

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
the problem is with position of words in sentence. you have to put the day on the last position. google quick add api stop scanning sentence after hour. It's mean this way I've solved the problem.

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
You seem to be wrong, as "Lunch with Grandma on Sunday 12 pm" works for me.
Or, does quick add API work differently based on the caller location or whatever? That sounds horrible...

Re: Feature Quick Add does not work
Hello
Kinda dead thread, but I came up with this problem today and i found out that the problem is the language that you have defined on your google calendar.
If i define the language as portuguese the quick add feature won't work, and the sidebar gadget won't support (or at least decently) the quick add.
But if you go to settings (on google calendar) and change your language (you can leave the country) to english it will work.
