Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Hey all,
I have uploaded a beta version to http://scippleron.com.
Please try it and share your experiences.

I have uploaded a beta version to http://scippleron.com.
Please try it and share your experiences.
Things to know:
- This version is read only. I will add back RW stuff later.
- Google introduced quota on the new API, therefore, I had to change the 5 mins calendar auto refresh to 4 hours
- Currently tasks support is missing, because its API has so low quota that it doesn't seem to make sense to use it
Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Here it works perfectly again, Thanks a lot !

Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Works perfectly for me too. Too bad for the quota on the API, I loved the quick updates.
I don't need an RW version, read-only is good enough for me. Also, I don't need tasks support.
I'm happy like a puppy with this version, great many thanks!

error not found
I'm really sorry, but it's not working for me. The exclamation mark in the top corner says it is not found.

How about a manual refresh
The default 4 hours is unworkable... we can accces our calender as often as wanted through the web API.
The program GSyncit fieldstonsoftware.com/software/gsyncit3/
Gsyncit Has used the new API for 2 months now and allows unlimited refresh to the new calender API. Maybe there is a clue to how they do it?
I believe this quota only applies to developers. not logged in calender API users...

Of course there is a manual refresh possibility, as it was already before. Only the automatic refresh changed, which is practically only needed when the calendar is changed from an other device, which is not that frequent.
The quota applies to applications. Calendar API has an 500000 request limit/day. It might seem to be a lot but... if an average user has 3 calendars and the gadget refreshes them in every 5 minutes 10 hours a day then that is 3*60/5*10 = 360 requests just for one user a day (and she has not done anything manually). Let's take 5000 users, that is 5000*360 = 1.8M requests a day. That's it. Of course, one can buy more quota but that is not really applicable in this case.
FANTASIC Thank you - more news about the Not Found
Great this works perfectly. Just a note about the Not Found error if the explanation above was not enough. On settings go to the Calendar Tab . Hit the reload in this tab and then select your calendar again . This got it past the not found for me.

Google tasks
Hi, first of all many thanks for this fantastic gadget. Beta release is good for me.
Since you modify it, it could be great to integrate Google Tasks in addition to Calendars, Birthdays and Days-off.
Hope this could be done...

Sorry, but it is useless without task support.
Thanks for the fix, but it does not seem to help. I could live with the 4hrs refresh time, but without tasks support, it is completely useless to me. Too bad, because otherwise I love this gadget.

Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Is there some option in Local Settings how to manually change refresh time? For exemple to every one hour?

Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Is there any chance of getting Tasks support back? It was the reason I bought Googler in the first place. Even with a 24 hour sync interval it would be better than nothing. Could you maybe claim Googler and Google Calendar Agenda are two different apps (which is true as they have different features) and so get a separate allowance for Googler users if that's the issue?

There is no option, but I'll change it to one hour in next version.Packy wrote:Is there some option in Local Settings how to manually change refresh time? For exemple to every one hour?
Update: oops I can change it to half an our because Google has just doubled the Calendar API quota

Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Yes the two apps have separated API quotas.xtcrefugee wrote:Is there any chance of getting Tasks support back? It was the reason I bought Googler in the first place. I will add tasks support and we will see how it works.
Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Google Tasks support is re-added.
You can download a not-yet-public version of both the free and the pro version:

Re: 403 Forbidden Error
Tasks in the Googler version seem to work fine as far as I can tell, I can modify and delete tasks. Thanks again!

Tasks
Yes, the tasks are working for me too...Thank you! I believe there use to be an option to select a specific task list if more than one list was available. Otherwise, thank you for for your help!
